Mission Statement
To uplift literary works deemed worthy of the Purple Chalice Award—each reflecting the genre we call sacred-toned gay fiction. We believe, as it is written, “All that believe are justified” (Acts 13:39). Our goal is to promote this truth as widely as we can, alongside the works of others who embody and endorse it.
The Purple Chalice Contest - How it Works

- Every Steward of the Purple Chalice is allowed to either recommend or nominate and list one book that they think fits the bill.
- Each nominated book is placed on the site for all to see, buy, read or review and that book will stay there until the competition of that year is over
- On the week of the vote our stewards will pick their top 3 books and the book with the most votes will be the winner of coveted purple chalice
